Yesterday, we took the first bike ride of the year. The weather was awesome, and although the trail was muddy, we went out 6.5 miles to the Perche Creek bridge, the last bridge before the Katy. The trees all bare revealed horizons we never saw in the summer, and most of the creeks were partially frozen. With low water level and ice the creeks appeared marbleized.
Today I am sore. The ride kicked my ass. Still, great to take advantage of a beautiful day in February. However, I will need a few more rides before I'll be ready for a winery trip, that's for sure.

I know what you mean about same place, different view. Some places are better in winter, more stark, cleaner.
sorryyyy.
i keep on posting and then making them private. i keep on getting paranoid about who's going to find my crappy whining blog entries.
i need to quit doing it. that's for sure.
i'll try and not do it next time. :)
For fucking sure.
I am disappointed in my kind. I have been reading a lot of weird, new agey nonsense about our coming generation and I guess there isn't much to really see yet because the majority of us are so young.
Anyway, I am so on the cusp. My parents were older and as a result sometimes I feel like I can relate a bit with the generation before me. Maybe their age has little factor but I am not sure.
Overall, I am disappointed with the world currently. I guess getting a black president doesn't really disregard issues which I believe are more pressing than social ones, sadly. I have been writing and researching the fact that advertising has even leaked into underground art and it seems there is no escape from the slavery which we're allowing into our daily lives by business and advertising. It's repulsive.
This new generation has a lot of good qualities.. hopefully when we get older and gain a little perspective they'll begin to expand themselves. So far we're still acting like big babies. Blagh!
Roommates suck. Can't wait to live by myself again.
