We are currently snagging wireless but it is fickle. So here is a post that has been on my mind.
10) Karen and her 7 month old baby, Ethan, coming into the shop where I work, at least once a week, to try on all the vintage dresses no one else does (but are the best pieces in the shop). This makes me happy because she often buys the dresses. To know that those dresses are going home with her puts joy in my heart, because I know they have a good home.
9) Gifts from Bridgett. Not that all other gifts are bad, not at all, but Bridgett knew me before I knew me. She has been buying me vintage trinkets, boxes, and household goods for years. I asked for a mixer, she bought me a 60s Sunbeam. Hell, she brought me to The Vintage Haberdashery where I bought my first vintage dress (which I wore until it fell to pieces).
8) Family dinners. If you have never met my family, a dinner with us will explain everything. We are passionate people and most of us are too damn smart for our own good. The conversations have molded and taught me.
7) Going out with Tim, only us. We recently rode our bikes along the Katy Trail to Rocheport and spent two hours sipping wine. We talked about social issues and how we fit into society. When we weren’t trying to be smart, we talked about our relationship, and how we were somehow destined for one another.
6) Dancing with Bevin. She introduced me to Shattered. She got me to dance on a dance floor for the very first time. She made me fall in love with Joy Division. She stomps the hardest, and flings her hair like a sex magnet. My dancing tries to imitate hers.
5) My parent’s constant support in my life. Although they think I am living in sin, turned my godmother against me, and aren't always happy with my life choices, they were the first people to tell me “Do what it is that makes you happy”. I am happy.
4) Fire Flies at night, sunshine during the day.
3) Rosemary and Burt in the morning after I feed them. They eat most of the food and then proceed to chase one another through every room of our new house. Their little paws go Thump! Thump! across the wood floors. (they need the exercise, they’ve gained a few extra pounds)
2) Having a clothes line. I have always loved the smell of clothes dried in the sun and wind. Now with my clothes line I can do it every day.
1) Hanging out with friends and playing Risk. I have won 3 out of 6 games. Beyond that, hanging out with friends that are like minded is great.
I will blog about the new place soon. It isn't completely together yet but Tim and I are much happier here!

yay! I am glad to see that you're happy and feeling better. :)
I agree with your comment. A lot of the strange views I have gotten on Columbia are a result of the university system praising MU and not the rest of the other systems, so the workers are bitter. It was just strange and unexpected, people's views and all.
I don't think that I will ever meet people like everyone I met there again. I mean, that's just a fact. I miss you all dearly. I'm so happy to see you're feeling great.

I have two new siamese kittens!!
Oh, well that made my whole evening.
